 At Bhavan’s Vivekananda College (August 1993 to 30th June ‘22):

Founder faculty member of the college since 1993. Took several initiatives for the growth and progress of the College. Appointed as Principal of the College in August 2003 and worked as Principal a Professor of Management until superannuation on 30th June 2022. The following are the career highlights at Bhavan’s Vivekananda College.

• Worked as examination and academic Co-ordinator from 1993 to 2002.

•Head of the Department of Commerce (1993 – 2002)

•Vice-Principal of the College (2002 to 2003).

•Principal of the college for 19 years – August 2003 to June 2022.

•College secured permanent affiliation in the year 2009.

•Recognition of the college by UGC- u/s 2(f) and 12(B).

•College accredited with ‘A’ grade by NAAC in 2012.

•College was granted Autonomous status by UGC from the academic year 2015-16.

•The College is ranked in the Rank Band of 151 to 200 for four (4) year – 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2022 in the country by NIRF.

As Principal, created an ambiance for promotion of research by setting up a Research and Consultancy Cell. As a result, the research activity of the College was strengthened:

 

•21 Faculty members completed their Ph.D and 45 faculty members pursuing Ph.D.

•The College was awarded 5 major research projects and 11 minor research projects by UGC/DBT/DST during my tenure as Principal.

•The College is funded with Rs.1.23 crores by DBT under Star College Scheme for a period from 2019-’22.

•The College is recognized as Research Centre in Microbiology and Biochemistry. Proposal is submitted to DBT for grant of STAR College Status.

 

The college is reckoned as one among the best college in Telangana and making rapid strides to make a strong presence at National level.
