MISSION:

Computer Science is a science that introduces students to intellectual endeavors through the art of programming. Creative, collaborative and fun, it is designed to motivate students and teachers think algorithmically and solve problems efficiently. Computer Science is a continuous learning process that increases connectivity in the world. The aim of the course is to enable undergraduate students develop logic, and problem solving skills using computers and help build top tier IT careers and expand opportunities.

Objectives:

To foster an environment where students will learn with emphasis on risk-taking
To teach CS concepts
To teach students about computer science, computational thinking and programming
To support the course study by plans/strategies and tools that lead to success
Logistics
That students explore solutions and think through problems
To help students find answers when they are stuck
Strategies to help students work through tough spots
To help them master skills that they perform tasks required for designing, developing and analyzing software programme
To make them responsible computer scientists through applications of computers on activities
Encourage online learning
To enable them work on live projects and spread computer science education for the greater good of the humankind.

SUCCESS RATE:

We are pleased to share that the Department has achieved high success rate from its inception as on today. While Maths is the key contributor to the field of computer Sciences, the students explore ideas, processes and learning strategies through computers to solve mathematical problems. Today it has grown both infrastructure wise and course combination wise, So we are encouraging even in Bio Streams.
