Green House

The college has the privilege of maintaining a Green House for the last 50 years. It is centrally located, enclosed by four wings of the main building. On one side of the Green House certain medicinal plants like Withania somnifera, Rauwolfia serpentina, Adhatoda vasica, Acorus calamus, Ocimum sanctum, Ocimum bacillus, Tulophora, Psoraelia, Bacopa munnerii and Aloe Vera are maintained. Dieffenbachia, Agalonema, Dioscorea, Dracena, Acaaluphas, Alocasia, Beaucarnia, Pedilanthus, Ferns, etc are maintained on the other side. There are two sinks for hydrophytes like Pista, Eichhornia, Nymphea, Stellata, Lenna and others. Climbers like Thumbergia, Antigenen, and Artabotrys outside the Green House in the same enclosure add beauty and cover. Murraya koenigii, Citrus and certain related class work material function as “green lung” to the building.
