The Statistics department was established in the year 1956 .The B.Sc Statistics course is the combination of Mathematics and Computer Science (M.St.Cs). The Faculty of Statistics are well qualified and experienced lecturers in Undergraduate and Postgraduate teaching.

Objectives:

The main aim of the B.Sc Statistics course is to train the students with various skills and techniques that are involved in various topics.
To furnish comprehensive development to the student with a great stress on quality of life rather than material success and integrating the values into teaching and learning.

To conduct theoretical and practical studies in the field.
To prepare students for lifelong learning and successful careers using their statistical skills.

To provide an environment where students can learn, become competent users of Statistics and understand the use of Statistics in Data Science , Ml, AI , critical thinking, reasoning, problem solving and applications in Real Life and also in other disciplines.
