Zoology Museum

​The Museum in the Department of Zoology is one of the best of Osmania University colleges. We have a huge collection of about 2000 specimens of invertebrates and vertebrates, which include rare ones. The museum has a remarkable collection of insects, mollusks, corals, and a variety of fish. In addition, It has glycerin mounts, stuffed specimens and an osteology unit. There are embryological static models and closed glass fixtures of Archaeopteryx. There is a collection of rare species of mammals. To add to the collection there is a remarkable assemblage of 10 varieties dinosaurs put in a small Jurassic park. A model evolutionary tree depicting Human Evolution is another attraction to the laboratory.
